Overview Of SLJCTS : Sri Lanka Journal Of Cardiothoracic Surgery

 

The Sri Lanka Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery serves as the official publication of the Association of Cardiothoracic and Thoracic Surgeons of Sri Lanka. Dedicated to advancing the field, this journal serves as a platform to disseminate contemporary clinical practices and advancements in cardiothoracic surgery.

 

Scope

Covering a broad spectrum of topics, this journal encompasses various aspects of cardiothoracic surgery, including epidemiology, etiopathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnostics, treatment modalities, pathology, minimally invasive surgical techniques, cardiopulmonary bypass, cardiothoracic anesthesiology, critical care, pharmacology, trauma, thoracic oncology, surgical management of heart failure, as well as research, innovations, quality improvement, ethical and legal issues.

 

Journal Structure

Structured to accommodate diverse content, the journal includes research articles, review articles, editorials, commentaries, letters to the editor, case reports, case series studies, book reviews, conference proceedings, methodologies, protocols, as well as letters and announcements.

 

Aims

The primary aims of the Sri Lanka Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery are multifold. It strives to facilitate the widespread dissemination of knowledge pertaining to cardiothoracic surgery. The journal aims to contribute significantly to the advancement of knowledge in this specialized field.
